Oberg Story

Like many companies, Oberg Industries was started by a man with a passion.

For Donald E. Oberg, the company’s founder, it was a passion for both innovation and precision that provided the foundation for success. Under his guidance, Oberg pioneered using tungsten carbide components in the manufacture of high-speed stamping dies. Over the years, the company has developed a reputation of thriving on challenges and solving a wide range of engineering problems.

Today Oberg is a much different company than the one Mr. Oberg originally started. Our breadth of expertise enables us to provide cost-effective manufacturing solutions for the most demanding and complex production challenges for customers anywhere in the world.

A highly trained workforce plays a pivotal role in Oberg’s ability to produce high quality parts. For this reason, an apprenticeship program was developed during the 1950’s to guarantee future generations of highly skilled craftsman. Today, Oberg’s world-renowned apprenticeship program is competency based involving both classroom and on-the-job skills training.

It’s this ongoing commitment to innovation and precision that has established Oberg Industries as the benchmark of quality in precision manufacturing throughout the world.
