Oil & Gas Exploration

Full Service Partner with Capacity for Growth.

Oberg’s Advanced Operations Group develops new processes and technologies that challenge the conventional “machine shop” mentality. This provides you with a fresh approach in component manufacturing.

Experience

Oberg has more than 60 years of precision manufacturing experience and over 500,000 hours dedicated to extremely close tolerance machining, high precision lapping, high speed 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling, multi-axis and swiss turning, grinding and EDM capacity per year. This enables us to handle your prototype through continuous volume production requirements.

Directional Drilling Components

Trust Oberg with the production of closely toleranced components/assemblies used for down hole drilling, drill strings, Logging While Drilling (LWD) or Measurement While Drilling (MWD) components. Typical components made from Inconel, stellite, MP35N, stainless steel, or titanium are manufactured to your exacting specs and delivered on time.

Flow Control Components

Precision carbide and ceramic flow control valve components are manufactured with a flatness of ½ light band and with a scratch free surface finish of 0.3 RA. We have over 30 years experience inserting carbide or ceramic into critical wear components to minimize wear and improve operating efficiency.

Specializing in Difficult-to-Machine Materials

We developed specialized processes to machine and turn engineered plastics such as PEEK, Ultem (PEI), carbon and glass fiber composites, Ryton, Delrin, and other difficult-to-machine thermoplastics, plus tungsten carbide and exotic metals.
