Medical
Oberg's Advanced Operations Group will establish and validate processes that will go into production in our High Volume Production Areas.
Solving Challenges with Process Innovation and Technology Leadership.
Oberg Industries brings together traditional and non-traditional manufacturing technologies to provide OEMs in orthopaedics, surgical instrumentation, diabetes care, and vascular intervention with creative solutions. We are positioned as a value-added manufacturing partner – not a competitor - to medical technology OEMs.
Orthopaedic Instruments, Implants, and Trial Components
Custom, specialty, and production instruments and implants for the hip, knee, shoulder, and spine are delivered within four weeks or less. Speed to market is our driving force and competitive advantage. Our experience with machining and finishing ultra-hard ceramics, metals and composite materials can offer product designers more options than ever before. Our internal instrument design service can also help to reduce time to market for custom products.
Formed Titanium and Stainless Steel Plates
We developed a near-net stamping process to accurately form and bend titanium and stainless steel trauma, extremity, and spine plates in specialized dies. We also integrate our full five axis machining technology into our total plate solution.
Specialized machining, turning and superfinishing processes yield precision implants and broaches used in surgical procedures.
Surgical Instrument Assemblies
Process and materials expertise allow us to provide complex instrument assemblies that add value to your assembly operation. With progressive die making and stamping experience, Oberg can stamp and assemble instrument components in a die using laser welding, staking or bowl feeding to increase production efficiencies and reduce costs. In-line vision and real-time SPC enable us to monitor critical part dimensions ensuring quality products.
Pace Maker and Stent Components
Oberg manufactures the stamping dies used to precisely stamp pacemaker battery components or stent products from very thin, flexible materials. By understanding the total process, we can continually make tooling improvements to help reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality on internal components or stamped cases, housings, stents or anchors using our proprietary nitinol, titanium, stainless steel and aluminum forming technology.
Precision Sharps, Needles, and Trocars
With our integrated stamping, tooling, and automation expertise, we can provide an automated process to stamp, form, and precisely apply a burr-free razor edge on sharps, needles, and trocars. In-house cleaning, passivation, electro-polishing, and clean room product assembly are available to OEM customers.
