Printing the right solution makes headlines with major OEM

A leading computer printer OEM needed to improve the wear life and production output of a critical component used in the manufacture of computer printer cartridges.

Leveraging nearly 60 years of experience working with advanced alloys, various composite materials, and production methods, Oberg’s design and manufacturing engineers worked very closely with our customers’ operations personnel to design a wear component assembly that would withstand extreme operating pressures and stresses.

The combination of modified designs, material selection, and a stable, repeatable manufacturing process helped to yield significant process efficiencies and wear life gains. Production output was doubled while providing a 40% cost reduction to our customer on this complex assembly.
