FREEPORT, PA – Oberg Industries, a full-service contract manufacturer of precision machined and stamped components, has announced changes today to its executive leadership team that will further align the company’s focus on growth within its target markets in addition to enhanced delivery and quality products for its customers.

Oberg Industries’ two commercial divisions, Precision Stamping and Tooling and Precision Machining, will each have a dedicated president to oversee and promote the growth of their respective product lines. Rich Bartek, named President of the Stamping and Tooling division, brings over 15 years of experience and focus at Oberg working in these key categories and will lead the strategic planning and execution of these product lines while managing sales, customer service, program management, engineering and quality for this division.

Jay Policastro, newly named President of Oberg Medical and the company’s precision machining division, has a strong background in the medical device industry and most recently served as President and CEO of an injection molding contract manufacturer in Latrobe, PA. Jay’s experience includes a strong focus on growth, both domestically and internationally, through innovation as well as mergers and acquisitions. Policastro will also lead the strategic planning and execution of Oberg Medical and precision machining product lines while overseeing sales, customer service, program management and quality.

Dave Bonvenuto, Oberg Industries Chief Executive Officer noted, “These executive leadership moves are being made to best align our organization to our customer partners and to our customer end markets. Rich has been successfully working in these product lines in various roles for 15 years while the addition of Jay brings a known industry leader who will strengthen and elevate our executive leadership team with his background and experience.”

Oberg’s continued commitment to promote safety, quality, process excellence and on-time delivery company-wide will be leveraged with two additional roles, filled by Dave Elias as Chief Operating Officer and Dave Rugaber as Executive Vice President. Elias’ expertise in operations and supply chain will be critical in implementing all aspects of the Oberg Process Excellence program in addition to continuous improvement and safety efforts. Elias joined Oberg in 2016 and his background includes executive roles at ATI and AK Steel as well as a degree in Engineering Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business. Mr. Rugaber, as EVP, will continue to focus on the strategic growth among new products and markets, including additive manufacturing and Oberg’s exclusive grinding technology. With over 15 years’ experience at Oberg, he will also lead the new product development stage gate process to effectively and efficiently create innovative products for current and future customers.

Bonvenuto added, “Our commitment to process excellence and the daily focus on employee safety, product quality and meeting our delivery expectations is punctuated with the naming of Dave Elias as Chief Operating Officer at Oberg.
