High precision machining with multi-axis work cells enable us to manufacture close tolerance components with repeatable accuracy.

High Precision Machining

We can machine complex shapes and difficult angles in a single setup by using state-of-the-art 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis work cells. This minimizes handling and increases repeatable accuracy. We have developed revolutionary fixturing techniques and creative programs to achieve surface finishes less than 8 micro inch (.2 micro meter) while holding critical tolerances to ± .0002 inch (± .005 millimeter).

Turning/ Milling

Take advantage of Oberg's advanced turning/milling centers that offer up to 30 inch turning diameters, 10-axis turning, automatic bar feeds (up to 4 inch diameter), and specialized CNC controls to provide you with a variety of options to meet your exact specifications.

Wire and Robotic Sinker EDM

Oberg has over 36 years experience in EDM technology and we have helped to advance the technology and capabilities of this process in terms of speed, dimensional accuracy and surface finishes.

Precision Grinding

With over 60 years of precision grinding knowledge and experience, we have the capability to hold manufacturing tolerances to ± .000020 inch (.0005mm) on wear materials such as tungsten carbide. We also offer an advanced grinding technology, Molecular Decomposition Process™ (MDP), which provides heat-free, burr-free grinding of very hard and thin materials and capable of producing a surface finish of less than 1Ra µ.
