Oberg Industries Makes Commitment to Reduce Electricity Usage

5/13/2008

Oberg Industries, based in Freeport, Pennsylvania, announced today that they have partnered with EnerNOC, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENOC) for Demand Response, an energy conservation program that reduces stress on the electric power grid during periods of high peak demand.

The Demand Response program has been recently implemented at Oberg's Pennsylvania manufacturing facilities located in Freeport and Sarver that will allow the company to better track their electricity consumption. Oberg has also made a commitment to curtail electric use during periods of peak demand. Plans to implement this program at Oberg's Arizona manufacturing facility continue to be developed.

Bob Wagner, Oberg's President and CEO, cited that making a commitment to conserve energy and partner with EnerNOC would make a positive impact with its community neighbors as the driving force behind the decision to enroll in the program. "The combination of Oberg's desire to conserve energy and EnerNOC's monitoring and technical capabilities, make for a strong partnership that should allow us to reduce electricity consumption when our community neighbors need it the most". "We have worked closely with EnerNOC to ensure that our commitment to curtail electric use will in no way impact our customers", Wagner added.
