New Name, New Location for Oberg Industries' Precision Metal Forming Operation in Mexico

Oberg Industries, Freeport, Pennsylvania, has renamed their Mexico precision metal stamping and manufacturing operation and has moved to a new location. Their new site, not far from their old facility, is also in Tecate, Mexico which is approximately one hour south of San Diego, California.

"Oberg's First Latin American Corporation (FLAC) has merged with Oberg Industries, Inc. and will operate under the name Oberg Mexico", said Robert Wagner, President and CEO of Oberg Industries. "The new name will more closely align with Oberg's family of companies and help to strengthen the Oberg precision metal forming brand in Mexico", added Mr. Wagner.

The company has outgrown their space at FLAC and has entered into a long term lease with the El Bajio Industrial Park for 56,000 sq. ft. of space and has transferred all personnel and metal forming operations to that location. The new facility will provide Oberg with nearly 21,000 sq. ft. of additional manufacturing space where they will continue to provide precision metal stamping and transfer metal stamping as well as hydroforming. They also offer specialized stocking programs and warehousing options for their customers.

"A new hydroforming line is being developed and plans are underway to have it installed and in full operation at our new location by the end of Q3 2010. This new line, in conjunction with additional manufacturing space, will enable us to broaden our precision metal forming capabilities to better serve new and existing customers and more effectively compete in the global marketplace", concluded Mr. Wagner.

Oberg Mexico employs nearly 100 people and is ISO 9001 certified. Press capacity ranges from 30 to 200 tons including 110 ton transfer presses and related auxiliary equipment.
