Oberg Acquires Boyle Industries

5/19/2017

FREEPORT, PA – Oberg Industries, a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal components, tooling and stamping assemblies, has recently acquired certain assets and the entire book of business of Boyle Industries formerly located in Freeport, PA.

Jim Boyle was a former Oberg employee who had the entrepreneurial spirit to take what he learned while at Oberg to start his own business in 1985. Oberg Industries and Boyle have enjoyed a positive working relationship ever since – as work was outsourced between both firms.

David Bonvenuto, Oberg’s President and CEO commented, “Oberg is a growth-oriented company that continues to be successful because of our highly skilled and trained workforce. The opportunity to acquire a local company that shares the same emphasis on employees and customers as Oberg Industries is very exciting. The individual employees of Boyle averaged over 20 years of service with Boyle and have skills in surface grinding, jig grinding, wire EDM, and machining. Their skills coupled with years of experience are an excellent fit for Oberg and the types of precision work we do every day”.

The Boyle acquisition is part of Oberg’s strategic plan to add capabilities, capacity, new products, and skilled workers that will support and strengthen their commitment to providing quality products on-time to their customer partners.

Oberg is excited and proud to welcome the employees of Boyle to Oberg Industries.
