Oberg Honors JAA Graduates of 2016

6/24/2016

FREEPORT, PA – Oberg Industries, a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal components, tooling and stamped parts, congratulated those senior high school students who completed the second year of the company’s Junior Apprentice Advantage (JAA) Program.

Due to a growing shortage of qualified candidates for advanced manufacturing openings, Oberg partnered with Highlands High School in nearby Natrona Heights, PA to create a unique program to bridge this skilled talent gap. They formed the Junior Apprentice Advantage (JAA) Program designed to directly connect Highlands High School seniors to industry-specific training that mirrors the Oberg apprenticeship experience.

Ten students participated in this year's program who found themselves in a very competitive and challenging environment faced with advanced, applied subject matter and continuous assessment. As a result, three students were offered full-time employment as Apprentices in Oberg's Registered Apprenticeship Program. Click on the link below for more details.
