Oberg Announces New Board Member


FREEPORT, PA – Oberg Industries, a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal components, tooling and stamping assemblies, proudly announces the appointment of Courtney J. Hill to their Board of Directors.

Courtney Hill is currently president of C.J. Hill consulting Services and retired from the General Electric Company in 2012 after a successful 36-year career in manufacturing technology, process development, and commercialization. As the General Manager of Manufacturing Technology for General Electric, Courtney was responsible for the development of next generation affordable manufacturing and inspection processes that supported GE Aviation’s products and services worldwide. Notable areas of technology development and commercialization while at General Electric included: high performance structural composites, additive manufacturing, ceramic matric composites, advanced robotic applications, and digital manufacturing.

Mr. Hill is a graduate of Lehigh University with a Master’s Degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science and continued his studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board on the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences and the Chairman of the Board for the MTConnect Institute. Mr. Hill is also a member of the Board of Directors for Gardner Business Media and formerly served on the boards of TechSolve and the Edison Welding Institute.
