Secondary Operations

Produce quality products with minimal operational errors. Operate secondary operation equipment including ultrasonic cleaners, drying ovens, bench top cleaners, bead blasting unit, tumblers. Operate various hand tools such as cutters and rotary tools. Utilize various computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and/or Access to enter information and process paperwork. Responsible for packing finished product and preparing finished product for shipment. Stock shelves with inspected parts and pick parts from stock. Count inventory. Daily maintenance of secondary operations area including mopping, vacuuming and wiping; as well as equipment preventative maintenance where appropriate. Accurate completion of Device History Records, inventory control processes, material movement, lot tracking, scrap reporting, and other appropriate documentation. Visually inspect parts for defects using a variety of methods including a microscope. Use calibrated hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, granite plates and dimensional scales (rulers/tape measures) to inspect parts. Operate inspection equipment including optical comparators. Read and understand specification (documents and drawings) for inspection locations and tolerances. Offer suggestions to improve production and quality. Must be able to understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to understand and perform to job-related quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting as required. Must have a working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Access and Excel. Must be able to work in a clean room environment. Must possess basic math and computer skills. Must be able to work 40 hours per week minimum, however, schedule may be adjusted according to business and operational needs. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in manufacturing, service, or related field is preferred.
