Receives and routes internal and external calls to the appropriate destination. Creates and distributes out-of-plant notices. Maintains current telephone and emergency numbers list including cell phones and home fax numbers. Coordinates the application process in compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action guidelines. Maintains and distributes visitor safety glasses. Screens visitors for export compliance and distributes ID badges. Manages visitor log book. Assists other departments as needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit at a switchboard and computer terminal for extended periods of time. Must have the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team member to obtain desired results. Must be able to handle multiple telephone lines efficiently. Must be able to communicate effectively/professionally, both written and oral. Must have a working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Windows applications. Must be able to organize work and prioritize tasks. High school diploma or equivalent. Clerical and customer contact experience preferred. 1 Year receptionist, switchboard operator or related experience preferred.
