Human Resources Generalist

Assists the Director of Human Resources and other members of the Human Resource department in the administration and coordination of all human resource functions, which may include but is not limited to compensation, training, performance measures, benefits, recruitment and staffing, employee relations, etc. Enrolls new employees in benefit plans and provides benefits orientation. Maintain knowledge of and track government regulations including all FMLA & COBRA compliance issues. Reviews benefit claims. Process monthly benefit invoices in preparation for payment. Prepares materials and assists in presenting benefit plan changes to employees. Issue bi-annual individual summary of benefits to employees. Administer the 401k plan. Be available to employees and/or management when necessary for work and/or personal issues that arise. Provides general information to employees regarding benefits or other HR related questions. Administers human resource policies and procedures. Collects and analyzes human resource data. Assist Director of Human Resources in representing the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Participates in new hire orientation when conducted on an as needed basis. Conduct assigned research to compile reports and other necessary materials. Conduct interviews. Prepare presentation materials, which may include PowerPoint presentations. Compose routine correspondence, employee communications, and publications. Data entry into the HRIS system, as needed. Must be familiar with a variety of human resource field concepts, practices, and procedures. Must have working knowledge of training, performance measures, recruitment, employee relations, Human Resources Information Systems, etc. Must have strong computer skills utilizing programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well with others. Must maintain the highest levels of confidentiality. High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience is required. Minimum 3 years related human resource experience in a manufacturing environment is required. 2 years’ experience in benefits required. HRIS experience required, HRB preferred. CEBS and PHR/SPHR preferred. Strong knowledge of human resource practices required. Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
